For this assignment, you will reflect on what you have learned about the importance of job design and its strong relationship with motivation at the workplace. In particular, you will write a report describing how you would ideally design a motivating job for “a salesperson at a local clothing shop” based on the job design concepts and models that you learned and read about in this week’s resources.
When writing the report, you are encouraged to either refer to the Job Characteristics Model or the Job Crafting Model - both of which are explained in your readings. For example, taking the factor of feedback in the Job Characteristics Model you can argue that shop managers have to provide continuous feedback to salespersons to keep them motivated.
Length: 7 pages, not including title and reference pages.
References: Support your paper with at least 3 scholarly resources.
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect graduate-level writing and APA standards.
